27% of daily coronavirus tests return positive result

11,143 coronavirus cases have been registered for a day after 40,863 tests, according to data from the Single Coronavirus Information Portal. 27% of the samples returned positive result. 76% of the newly infected were non-vaccinated. The highest number of new cases was registered in Sofia – 2,565, followed by Plovdiv – 1,163, and Burgas – 1,132.

There are 5,799 patients in hospital as 533 of them are in intensive care. 85% of 841 newly admitted patients are non-vaccinated. 87 people died in the past day as 83% of them were not vaccinated. The number of recoveries reached 4,354. There are 250,935 active Covid-19 cases. 8,192 doses of coronavirus vaccine were administered yesterday. 1,999,666 people have completed the immunization cycle. 615,816 have had a booster dose.
