Persons arriving in Bulgaria from countries with a Delta version of Covid-19 should be tested

Prof. Todor Kantardzhiev, a consultant of the Sofia Municipality on the vaccination process, has recommended mandatory tests for people entering Bulgaria from countries with a widespread Delta version of Covid-19. During the consultations at one of the vaccination points, the professor warned that measures should be taken and those entering Bulgaria should be tested with PCR tests.
At the National Centre for Infectious and Parasitic Diseases, where 10% of samples from those infected with the virus are tested, 300-400 samples per week can be processed by sequencing (a method that examines the exact DNA sequence to detect mutations), Prof. Kantardzhiev explained.
