Covid-19 in Bulgaria: 4,207 Newly Infected, 129 Deaths

In the past 24 hours, 4,207 new cases of coronavirus infection have been registered in the country. We remind that 5,176 newly coronavirus cases were recorded yesterday, the highest incidence rate in a day since the outbreak of the epidemic.

Yesterday, 17,947 tests were made - 10,426 PCR and 7,521 antigen, as 23% tested positive.

During the day, 13,712 people were vaccinated, and since the beginning of the immunization campaign – 472,443. A second dose have already received 95,003 people.

Those hospitalized with COVID-19 as of April 1 are 10,093. In intensive care wards are 772 people, which is two fewer than the previous day.

The active cases were 69,875.

The disease claimed the lives of 129 people, 3,869 cured.

Since the outbreak began, there have been 13,068 deaths, 255,692 people have recovered.

The total number of confirmed carriers of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus in Bulgaria is 338,426, of which 11,859 are medics, data from the single information portal show.

The most are the newly registered cases in Sofia, Varna, Plovdiv and Burgas.
