Covid-19 in Bulgaria: Less Than 1,000 Newly Infected, 60 Fatalities

In the past 24 hours, 983 new carriers of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus have been registered in the country, data from the Single Information Portal show.

Yesterday, 4,094 tests were made - 2,487 PCR and 1,607 antigen, and positivity rate was 24%.

The trend towards increase in the number of hospitalized persists– 9,839 COVID-19 patients are treated in hospital of them 773 people are in intensive care units.

As of March 29, there are 66,682 active cases.

During the day, 2,383 doses of vaccines have been given and since the start of the immunization campaign - 436,541. The second dose received 88,214 people.

The battle with the disease lost 60 Covid-19 patients, 457 have recovered. Since the outbreak of the epidemic, there have been 12,710 deaths, 249,361 people have recovered.

The total number of confirmed cases in Bulgaria is 328,753. 11,703 of them are medics.

The most are the newly registered cases in Sofia, Burgas and Varna.
